Welcome to Ana Cavalcanti Home Page. Here you can see her most recent art work: a series of Ceramic on Canvas as well as her pottery.
Ana Cavalcanti is a Brazilian ceramist who has been living in the United States since
1988. In 1991 Ana Cavalcanti finished her Master Degree in Art Education at the
University of Illinois where she concentrated most of her work in ceramics and
photography. When she moved to Washington, D.C. in 1992, she joined the pottery
studio at the Glen Echo Park where she presently does her work. See www.glenechopottery.com
Ceramic on Canvas is an entirely new idea towards the art of hand building ceramics.Three dimensional pieces are combined with acrylic painting on a canvas revealing an interesting effect
