Now About Me

I graduated from High School in Sanger Texas in 2001 with honors.

I like to listen to many types of music. Some of my favorites are: Country, Southern Gospel & Pop. Some of my favorite Country artists are,
Shania Twain, Sara Evans (from my hometown & I have met), Buddy Jewell, & Faith Hill. Among my Southern Gospel favorites are: The Bishops,
I also enjoy Celine Dion's Music!

I enjoy reading and doing research on CP and Scoliosis. I am fond of biographies and autobiographies.

For many years I have collected ALL Disney movies that have been put out.
My all time favorite is The Lion King! My least favorite is Fantasia!

I am a computer buff! I love getting on here and chatting with friends, surfing the web, and checking my email!

At this time I am single. *wink*

I have lived with CP all of my life. I was a surviving twin who was born prematurely. My sister, Charity Hope, was stillborn. My mom went into labor when she was only 7 months along. I weighed a mere 3 lbs and Charity weighed 2 lbs. I was in the hospital from Nov. '82 until Jan. '83, at that time I got to come home weighing a whole 5 lbs.! I was put on a heart monitor for awhile because I had the tendency to forget to breathe. I never crawled, sat up, or walked. Apparently, due to premature birth, and lack of sufficient oxygen to the brain, I sustained damage to the motorskills in the brain. So, I have been in a wheelchair since I was 4. I have very limited motorskills. I am able to use the keyboard and mouse on the computer, but the inability to write. Therefore, everything is done on the computer.
My birth defect DID NOT affect my intelligence. I am able to speak clearly, and as I said before, I graduated High School (from a regular school) with honors.

In my short life I have come across alot of obstacles for handicapped people.
That is why I have created this web page, that I might be able to help other people out there who are dealing with their disabilities in everyday life. I not only have Cerebral Palsy, but I also have Scoliosis of the spine. I have the same hopes and dreams as every 20 year old woman has, it just seems that mine are more limited to me. I hope to one day have a family of my own.
