it's time to make your 2008 pledge to the Bulldog club.
HOOPS ARE IN FULL SWING!
The Bulldogs plowed their way through road trips at South Carolina and Florida this past week to take the SEC West Crown into the SEC Tournament.  We hope to have volunteers to host SEC Tourney or NCAA parties in the coming weeks!  If you would like to volunteer, email us at  Charlotte Bulldogs.

Bulldogs Wrap Up Stunning Season!
The 2007 Football schedule provided for many pleasant surprises through the year!  Big wins on the road against Auburn and Kentucky paired with big wins at home against Alabama and Ole Miss led to a Victory in the Liberty Bowl and an 8 - 5 season!

With many pieces in place, 2008 Football season could be the year the DAWGS make a run at the December game in Atlanta.

 DAWGS Take a Swing at Clemson and Hit OMAHA!
The Dawgs after falling in the SEC Tourney, roared through the Florida State Regional to host the Super Regional in Starkville!  Clemson (none to happy about traveling to a "lesser team's site") was greeted by a record breaking attendance Friday morning as they fell to the Bulldogs!

Saturday was no less spectacular as another record breaking crowd watched the Bulldogs sweep the Clemson Tigers and was the first team to earn a trip to the 2007 College World Series.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
To continue building our Chapter and getting more Bulldogs involved, we need volunteers to spearhead a few activities:

- Community Service:  Volunteering in our community has been a big part of our chapter over the past few years with sponsoring little league teams and volunteering at Classroom Central.  

-  South Carolina Liscense Plate Coordinator: We need someone in SC to work on the requirements to have a MSU Tag in SC

Building A Charlotte Area Alumni Chapter
It's Official in 2007!
After 5 years of working hard to have an active and eventual "official chapter" we are very close to official recognition.  We have been told that "The Carolina Dawgs" will be voted as an "Official Chapter" of Mississippi State University in January and we can expect to have a formal kick-off in February or March depending on schedules.  

In the next couple of weeks I will send out a date for area supporters to meet and approve needed documents to submit to the Alumni Association.  Please check your email or the website for updates.

Thanks to many of you that have participated in SEC Kick-Off Parties (2 Championships), community service, football tailgates, football / basketball and baseball TV parties and a multitude of emails, we are in the final push to have a consistence active alumni membership of at least 100 donors.

As a supporter and member of the alumni association, you choose where your contributions go.... The Bulldog Club, Your College of Industry, general fund/endowment or some other worthy cause on campus.  Your support shows a commitment to MSU and that you are a continued part of promoting a quality education for current and future students of MSU.  For those of you supporting through the Bulldog Club, remember Coaches Croom, Stansbury, Polk and all of the other teams need your support to have a chance at SEC and National Championships.  
Your support doesn't have to be HUGE, but we need you.  If you have any questions on how to contribute or where to contribute, feel free to email me and if I cannot answer your questions, I will find out the answers.  Our Alumni Association is always a great place for information.  Richard and Janet will be happy to assist you too!
