Cherokee Cultural Luncheon

Cherokee Cultural Luncheon
on
Cherokee Ridge

Your group may book this event from mid April to mid October (subject to availablity). Minimum of 8 people to Maximum of 30 people. Plan on being here 3 to 5 hours (the average time a group spends is 4 hours). Most groups who come for the 1st time underestimate how much time they will want to spend here.
We need at least one week's advance notice.

*When your group arrives you will be greeted and taken up to our unique gift shop, made of poplar logs harvested from the property and built by the owners husband.
*Everyone will receive a small gift.
*You will then be taken to a deck area where lunch will be served. We use lovely tablecloths, chair covers, real dishes, crystal glasses, etc.
*The lunch starts with several herbal appetizers, then summer squash casserole (with chicken or vegetarian), colorful corn and bean salad, Indian Fry Bread and fruit, then ends with desert. Iced Tea will be served (usually Chocolate Mint Tea) with the meal.
*Next your group will be taken out to the White Pine Forest and seated on benches for a storytelling session. (History of Cherokee Ridge, Stories and Legends about the Cherokee people and /or history). This time will vary depending on the groups interest.
*Following the storytelling you will be given a private tour of the gardens and a short hike on the woodland trails, with points of interest pointed out and explained. This time and distance will vary depending on the groups interest and physical abilities.
*Finally, you will end up back at the gift shop cabin, where you will receive bottled water and a copy of recipes you were served for lunch. People may leave or shop. Once again this shopping time will depend on the interest of the individuals.

Cost includes sales tax and gratuity. $22.00 per person

Cherokee Ridge will offer you an interesting experience and will increase your knowledge about all the plants found in nature. Walk the woodland trails and learn the history of this 1800's settlement.
