What an enjoyable read! As a librarian many books pass on my desk for review. JENNIE'S REPRISAL was one of those rare ones that caught my attention from start to finish. This is a work of fiction that crosses many genres from historical to fantasy to romance. It was one that I couldn't put down! I look forward to reading the next work from Carol Bennett.
Carol Bennett's book signing at the Ashtabula Library in Ashtabula OH was a literary success. Donna Wall's foresight and love of literature brought about this introduction of JENNIE'S REPRISAL to the author's hometown. Quality library administration is an enormous responsibility. Donna went beyond the paradigm of administration, in discovering and introducing works of native authors to the community.

JENNIE'S REPRISAL is my favorite book this summer, and I devour books during summer break from teaching, usually two or three a week. Brought it home, started to read, and couldn't put it down. Carol Bennett did a great job of making the complicated story -- of this man and this woman coming back through time and meeting each other again and again -- both easy to understand and easy to read, AND so very romantic! After reading JENNIE'S REPRISAL, I met Carol Bennett at her presentation, From Outer Space To Inner Space, at the Wellness & Total Learning Center. Carol and her Literary Agent, Steve Tilton, were very entertaining and each and everyone in the standing room only crowd was ENLIGHTENED!

Actual past lives -- you can feel the truth in them when you read JENNIE'S REPRISAL. By piecing together her dreams, Carol Bennett unleashed a mystery that has great relevance today. Since becoming the first woman inducted into the Edgewood Senior High School Hall of Fame, Bennett presents a $1,000 scholarship at Edgewood each year to encourage women to pursue careers in math and scinece. I loved the book -- couldn't put it down. JENNIE'S REPRISAL interlaces the coeft of recurring characters across the warp of past ages to create a timeless, intriguing tapestry of every man's fears, desires, loves and emotions. Carol Bennett's expertise in using the literary shuttle leaves the reader in wonder ... is her creation strictly fictional or does, perhaps, Bennett wish to share her personal, past-life memories that most surpress for fear of societal ridicule?

Compelled to read this book simply because my name and my daughter's name, Elizabeth and Jennie, are THE lead character. Once finished, I knew exactly why I read it. The coverage reflects what I feel. I'm a Gemini, here to learn and enrich my collection of experiences. JENNIE'S REPRISAL contrubuted to this and reinforced my own ideas through the connection between characters. I actually experienced the long history of man, from origin through earth changes and destruction, in a most wonderful way -- following these people through their history, their sense of reliving or having carryover of one life to another, and how this carryover effects who we are and provides interesting metaphysical lessons. Visiting Egypt eight years ago, I felt a lack of acceptance, even though I had longtime identified with the Egyptian civilization, Jennie's lifetime helped me to understand those feelings, and to even tune into my own Grandmother's dilemma.

Carol Bennett is truly a great woman to aspire to be. She has a unique and fresh look towards life given the risks she has taken for a spiritual and purely instictual cause. Her novel, JENNIE'S REPRISAL, is guaranteed success, for it is ahead of its time in both subject matter and the depth, or psychic connection, it can take you to. Carol Bennett is truly one to marvel over as a 21st Century woman writer.

Decided to buy JENNIE'S REPRISAL after seeing several articles on Carol Bennett in local newspapers. Pastlife regression and genetic inheritance of memories are subjects that I am very interested in. Having these concepts as the main story line was a plus. I couldn't stop reading!

From a blue collar worker's perspective, I thought JENNIE'S REPRISAL was fantastic. The way Carol Bennett was able to weave the modern day with the mystical past was enlightening and left me wanting more. This was easily the best book I have read in the last ten years and, surprisingly, by an unknown author--unknown, that is, to the literary world, known and loved by family and friends. Let's hope she wirtes many more ...
Kendall is Bennett's baby brother, who, by the way, recently hung up that baby blue collar for a white one.
