My name is Tony Whitmer and I am the Director of Martial Arts YMCA Navarre,Florida. We offer a comprehensive program in Karate,Kenjutsu,Kobudo,Goshin-jutsu, and Tai chi Chen Style.Each part of our program has a practical sparring component except for the tai chi. The American Kenjutsu Competition Bo Staff

We have developed a composite staff made from carbon fiber with a steel core.You can do some spins and twirls with it that are almost impossible with a wooden staff,at least for me. The reason for this is that the center of balance is concentrated near the center of the staff instead of spread out over its entire length like with a wood bo. The price is very reasonable at $25.00 plus shipping and handling and it can be made to almost any length. The center diameter is approximately three quarters of an inch and the tips are about three eighths of an inch. The basic color is matte black but I do take special requests.
