ROCKFORD TRANSIT INFORMATION
Official Web site of the Rockford Mass Transit District.In 1970, the Rockford Mass Transit District became responsible for all transit lines in the Rockford area. The last streetcars ran in 1936.
ROCKFORD TRANSIT HISTORY
In 1881, the Rockford Street Railroad Co. introduced horse car service in Rockford. For many years, the transit system would be operated by Rockford City Traction Co.
