KENOSHA BUS PHOTOS

All photos were taken either at the old downtown Kenosha transfer point on 56th Street., or at the new transit center on 54th Street next to the new streetcar barn.


KENOSHA TRANSIT GENERAL MOTORS BUS

In 1975, Kenosha Transit modernized its bus fleet with 24 General Motors T6H4523N models, numbers 501-524. As of 2002, Kenosha Transit still operated 13 of these "fishbowls", primarily in school tripper service. This picture of #514 was taken in 1997.


KENOSHA TRANSIT GENERAL MOTORS RTS BUS (40 FOOT)

Kenosha Transit received its first RTS model buses from General Motors in 1981, 40 foot models T8W-204, numbers 1100-1104. The buses were rehabbed between 1992 and 1996. #1102 is pictured here.


KENOSHA TRANSIT GENERAL MOTORS RTS BUS (35 FOOT)

In 1987, Kenosha Transit received 35 foot GM RTS models T7W-606, numbers 1680-1685. #1685 is pictured here.


KENOSHA TRANSIT TMC RTS BUS

Kenosha Transit went back to 40 foot RTS buses in 1994, model T8O-206 manufactured by TMC, numbers 2186-2194. #2189 is pictured here, with lettering indicating it being fueled with compressed natural gas. Kenosha Transit acquired 3 more such buses from Nova in 1996, numbered 2315-2317.


KENOSHA TRANSIT NOVA LOW FLOOR BUS

Kenosha Transit's newest acquisitions in the year 2000 are 4 Nova low floor buses, numbers 2509-2512. #2510 is pictured.


KENOSHA TRANSIT GM RTS BUS

Kenosha bus #2358 in an early RTS bus with a sloped rear. Built in 1978 for the Fond Du Lac system, the bus was rehabbed and acquired by Kenosha Transit in 1997.
