MILWAUKEE BUS PHOTOSMILWAUKEE COUNTY TRANSIT SYSTEMRETIRED BUSESMCTS GENERAL MOTORS BUS (2000 SERIES)![]() During the 1960's, MCTS predecessor Milwaukee & Suburban Transport Corporation acquired these General Motors "New Look" buses. And after rebuilding, many of these "fishbowls" continued running into the 21st Century. #2007 is shown westbound near 5th Street, on the #54 Mitchell route.
MCTS GENERAL MOTORS RTS BUSES (3100 SERIES)![]() Meanwhile in 1997, many of Milwaukee's General Motors RTS buses, built in 1980, had been retired. These buses were spotted in a lot in Kenosha in 1997.
MCTS CROWN-IKARUS BUS (3400 SERIES)![]() These Crown-Ikarus 60 foot articulated buses were acquired in 1985. #3429 is seen westbound on Wisconsin Ave. at 4th St. on the special route to County Stadium, for a Brewers baseball game.
MCTS CROWN-IKARUS BUSES (3400 SERIES)![]() Many of the Crown-Ikarus 60 foot articulated buses were retired in 2000. These buses were seen at the Fond Du Lac Station. Also seen to the right is a retired General Motors RTS bus.
MCTS NEOPLAN BUS (3500 SERIES)![]() Neoplan supplied most of Milwaukee's buses built in the 1980's. #3508 is seen westbound on Wisconsin Ave. at 4th St. The last such buses were retired in 2002.
