The line was abondoned from South Lyon to Pontiac 10 or so years after Jackson to South Lyon (Lakeland but no trains hardly went west of South Lyon) and has been gone for 20 years this Apirl/May 2005. Here are the photos of what Sunset Construction crews did to the remants of the last rail that was still unused of the Jackson Sub. I obtained the photos legally.

Looking East at Old Plank Road the border between Lyon Twp (South Lyon) and Wixom Twp (Wixom). The ties that remained were pushed by the bulldozer in the far left and the old MOW trailer and ties were smashed, even though the area cleared was not where the trailer was located. Adam Blatchford is in the red shirt and Antony Rosetto is in the grey shirt. I am standing on the ROW.
