The other sangha members alos bow to us at the same time. While we are speaking, the Sangha members practice deep listening. This helps unite our community by fostering understanding of the Dharma and of each other. We also practice bowing when we greet a Sangha member. With palms joined, we bow to the opther person knowing that the Buddha is present in that person. As we breathe in, we say to ourselves or aloud, "A lotus to you." As we breathe out, we say to ourselves or aloud, "A Buddha to be." Thay tells us that bowing done in this manner can be a transformative practice that helps us develop greater compassion and awareness. HOME  ![]() |
