Hi Everyone!
My name is Cloudy and up until 3 yrs ago I lived in Petaluma, California, located in Sonoma County which is in Wine Country. I shared a home with Huggy, my feline friend.
Petaluma is a Native American name because this is what once was the home of the Miwok Indians. Petaluma is the first city you come upon when you
cross the Sonoma County line coming north from San Francisco
which is 37 miles from us. It is considered the top of the bay.
I made Petaluma my home about 35 years ago when I migrated north from the neighboring county of Marin. At one time Petaluma was called "The Egg Basket of the "World" as it consisted mainly of chicken farms and hatcheries
hence the nickname given by some: Chickaluma. Needless to say, Petaluma has gone through many changes but we are a community which appreciates our history and we show our respect for it by maintaining our downtown store fronts as they originally were and many of the old Victorian homes are still functional and as beautiful as they were when they were first built.

Now I make my home in Arizona near a town called Queen Creek. I live in
a subdivision called Johnson Ranch and it did indeed really used to be a
ranch, deep in the heart of the Eastern Valley on the desert! I love it here,
even though, like Tony Bennet, I am sure I left my heart near San Francisco.
Huggy was afraid of the ceiling fans and did not wish to venture outside
but in his own way I think he liked it here too. He passed away on March 28th, 2006. He will be missed more than words can say . . . .
