The Child's House
This was once the orphanage in Sambuca that was started by
Dr. & Mrs. Nicholas Maggio of Newark N.J.
It was dedicated to the memory of his parents
Giorgio & Margherita Maggio( both natives of Sambuca)
La casa del bambino
Questo era un tempo l'orfanotrofio di Sambuca, fondato dal Dottor Nicola Maggio e consorte, residenti negli Stati Uniti, a Newark (New Jersey). Era dedicato alla memoria dei suoi genitori, Giorgio e Margherita Maggio, nati entrambi a Sambuca.

The Maggio's had relatives who lived in Chicago. The Mule' and other Sambuca families would get together and collect money and send it to the orphanage. The group called themselves the "Sambuca Club".

I Maggio avevano parenti a Chicago ( i Mule` di Cristina) i quali, riunendosi con altri Sambucesi la` residenti, raccoglievano fondi per l'orfanotrofio di Sambuca. Tali Sambucesi fondarono Il Club Sambuca.
