As a mother of seven children and a La Leche League Leader, my life has been dedicated to pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting.  After the birth of my fifth child and first homebirth, I knew I wanted to be involved in the birth community, by supporting women in birth. It wasn't until 18 months after the birth of my seventh child, that I began my doula journey. Just as my children grew, so did my desire to be of service to women in birth and parenting.

About Me

As a birth and postpartum doula, I hope to facilitate a smooth transition from pregnancy to parenthood, couple to family.  To encourage, reassure, support and provide information so that a family can make informed choices in birth and parenting.  I am in awe of the birth process and I respect the unity of family, believing my role as a doula is to nurture and preserve the birth memories.  I am a part of the birth team and do not replace anyone, especially family.  I draw from both my professional training and my personal experience as a mother of seven children to support you in your birth and parenting journey.  My heart has a special place for homebirth and Christian families, but is big enough and welcoming for all. It is a great honor to be a part of the journey with the birthing family.

My children Spring 2005.
