Ed's Anglia
......and continues
I wanted something unique for the running boards but, at the same time, something that look kind of right for the period. I fabricated these from 1-1/4" EMT conduit and sheet metal. I think these work mainly because they are bent to follow the contour of the body. That's why I used the conduit.

I gave up on the steel front fenders. These are fiberglass from Bear Fiberglass. These fenders are awesome. If you are looking for Anglia fiberglass, this is what you want. At first, "Griz" sent me a set of rears by mistake and I was really tempted to replace the ones that I already had. I'm using the original fender supports(slightly modified) and I did have to fabricate rear supports like the originals had. The front bumper supports are cut-down stockers and will have a 50's VW face bar.
Above - My  new inner window frames didn't fit very well. When I installed them there was about a 1/4" gap between the frame and the window channel. I taped off everything and used NAPA Fiberstrand to fill in the gap. It worked well and everything fits tight. I hate having to spend time and money to make a new & expensive part work. I owe you an "after" shot.

I'm using tailights from a 49-50 Ford. I like the shape and the world could use less '39 teardrops. The shape matched top to bottom but I had to add material for the side to side fit. I still wonder about how they would looked frenched. You gotta love that that fender to body fit with no fender welt.
