This page was designed specifically for the posting of the OAKWOOD GEARBOX cars that became available for sale starting November 19, 2002.

Summary - 500 Oakwood Gearbox cars are were made. They are all 1:43 scale. When they arrived, they began selling.  We have 38 employees and 62 other city employees that work for the City of Oakwood, Ohio. Our department is one of approximately 15 fully integrated Public Safety Departments in the U.S.

 Every Public Safety Officer is a fully-certified Police Officer, Firefighter, EMT or Paramedic. The car price is $15.25   Shipping is additional and please refer to http://hometown.aol.com/conroy07/page2.html  for shipping costs.

As of Feb. 28th, 2003, 382 of the cars have been sold since their arrival. The day they came in, an article ran in a local paper selling over 100 cars to Oakwood residents between 11-19-02 and 11-26-02

Below are some photos of the prototype received this summer.
Gearbox cars have hoods that open, booth front doors open and the trunk opens.  The cars are made of over 60 parts.  There is a fully detailed engine, underbody, spare tire in the trunk, the front axel works, there is a radar unit on the dash.  Rubber tires with exact graphics of the real Oakwood PD Ford Crown Vic make this a GREAT Diecast Collectible!   Car Scale = 1:43
