The Cornerstone, built in 1894, is a two and one-half story 14-room mansion located in Omaha's Historic Gold Coast area. The mansion features Gothic Revival architecture with a symmetrical facade,
steeply pitched red slate roof and an impressive front entrance.

The Cornerstone Mansion, historically known as the "Offutt House," is a focal point of Omaha's historic Gold Coast, popular with the wealthy at the turn of the century. No expense was spared when prominent Omahans Charles and Bertha Offutt built the 10,200 square foot home in 1894. (Offutt Air Force Base was named for their son Jarvis.)
The mansion began serving as a bed and breakfast in the mid 1980s. Today, Innkeepers Mark O'Leary & Julie Mierau invite guests to enjoy our surroundings, reminiscent of a bygone era.

Our Guest Rooms
The Castleview Room features classic mission-style furnishings, including a king-size bed, along with antiques. The room boasts a beautiful view of historic Joslyn Castle.(pictured in the middle to the left)
The Fireside Room, the master bedroom of the mansion (pictured top left), offers a queen-size canopy bed, working ornate-tile fireplace and oversized clawfoot tub in the bath. A favorite among those looking for a romantic setting.
The Porch Suite invites guests to relax with a unique full-size mahogany bed and decorative fireplace. This charming room has exclusive access to the furnished second story of our sunporch (weather permitting). A genuine European water closet adds to the fun.
The Savannah Suite (pictured bottom left) defines "luxury." This room is a house favorite with its king-sized canopy bed, dressing room with day bed and large full bath with an oversized clawfoot tub.
The Garden Room is a cozy comfortable room with a full-size antique oak sleigh bed, antique furnishings and large bath with a double-size shower.
The Offutt Suite sits at the top of the house,. Along with extra privacy, this suite offers a queen-size bed in each of two bedrooms, one with beautiful pine furnishings and the other with an unusual painted iron bedframe.
The Charles Suite is the gem of the mansion. The floor to ceiling mahogony room features a king bed, antique sofa and chairs, a huge window seat, a decorative mosaic tile fireplace, a clawfoot tub right in the room and a bath with shower too!
