But we are not a DUDE ranch...From company picnics to Scout functions, Read Ranch can accommodate up to 1500 people or two folks. Texas Longhorn Cattle & Buffalo herds roam free, we can't guarantee that you will see them, unless you take a two hour ride, sometimes you can see them in the parking lot, we never know. Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday,  first ride goes out at 10am!   Reservations are always a good idea. Closed Sunday & Monday. The main gate maybe closed in bad weather.....

Admission: $5 for adults $3 for kids 12 & under   three and under FREE

Accessible to handicapped.

Excursions: Get ready for some varied terrain, Pardner! Guided Trail rides up & down thru valleys & hills, lots of trees, no pasture riding here!

  • $15.00 per person for about a hour,  $28.00 for two hours, all riders must be 7 yrs or older, no double riding.  Half hour trail rides for large groups only (30+)...$10.00 per hour.

  • Special for experienced trail riders  $28.00 per person (about an hour) for the ride of your life! Fast and wild,  where  else can you gallop a horse?  Just maybe you can get Mr. Read or Jaclyn Read to take you out, no first timers on this one, or ask about our 1.5 hrs  picnic ride we pack your lunch into our saddlebags & have lunch out on the trail all for on  $25 buckaroos! Groups of 12 or less  please,  call for times!!

  • Pony rides $6.00 per child, adults lead our ponies thru our Old West Town, about 15 minutes.

  • Hay Wagon Rides $75 per wagon, seats 25-30. Horse drawn wagon rides $120 per wagon seats 20, reservation only.

  • Breakfast ($28.50) or Chuckwagon Supper ($28.50) includes a trail ride or haywagon ride .....reservations only, groups of six or more please!

  • Group Bunkhouse rental,  Ceiling fans, front porch, two full size and two twin size mattresses, heat and AC, for only $34.99 for as many folks as you want to stuff in em!  We have three bunkhouse, remember no running water, but we do have showers up at the Tradin Post.  Sleep in a Ti Pi only $22 per night, sleeps up to 5 folks.

  • City Slicker Special, don't have to be a dude to enjoy this one! two days & one night of horseback riding, eats, cattle corralling, on our horses, camp out in one of our tents or one of our bunkhouses (heat & air). Chuckwagon supper (beef brisket, cowboy beans..)& breakfast (home made biscuits, cowboy coffee, bacon, eggs...)served in our saloon! All you bring is a bed roll, tooth brush optional, only $125.00 per person!  Must be 7 years & older, groups of six or more, call for details.All rates subject to change..

Things to See: Petting Zoo, $2.00 per person that goes in, 2 yrs & under free. Llamas / four horned goats / pigs /exotic birds / emus / deer.

Saloon rental 4 hours at only $295.00 (2200 sq. ft. with tables, chairs, stage & large wooden bar) seats 100 folks! Groups as large as 600 have rented our saloon & outside pavilions. Gift shop & Snack Bar, Sheriff's Office with jail , Coachhouse w/stagecoach & Surrey w/fringe on top!

  • Spend two days and one night on the ranch ya'll be staying in one of our rustic bunkhouses, three meals of grub a day  and working with the ranch hands. Then when your good at horseback ridding, shooting  your six gun and hanging around the saloon, we'll shoot your top quality digital western video!  You can be the Outlaw or the Sheriff or Annie Oakley, a script will be sent to you upon your deposit!  Just imagine riding an authentic stagecoach thru town and shooting it out with the bad guys ...all caught on tape!
