+ CPR for Family and Friends: 2 hours
This awareness program teaches rescuers skills in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It covers the chain of survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults, children, and infants.
+ Adult CPR: 3 hours
+ Infant/Child CPR: 3 hours
+ Adult/Infant/Child CPR: 5 to 6 hours
The CPR course is modular and can be taught for adults, infants, children, or all ages. It teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking. This is a more advanced course than "CPR for Family and Friends." A written/skills examination is included, and a completion card will certify your successful training.
+ CPR & AED: 4 hours
This course teaches the basics of adult CPR (same course as above) and adds how to use an automated external defibrillator. The AED is a computerized medical device to rescue victims of cardiac arrest.
+ Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers: 4 to 6 hours
This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen. It also covers use of an automated external defibrillator and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings. A written/skills examination is required for course completion, and the course completion card is the appropriate certification for many training requirements.
+ First Aid: 3 hours
Program participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illnesses. The course teaches how to treat victims in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. Subjects include how to deal with bleeding, shock, burns, strains, fractures, allergic reaction, diabetic problems, and seizures. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of employer's efforts to comply with regulations from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA). The next two courses, Oxygen and Blood Borne Pathogens, are logical extensions of First Aid and can be taught at the same time.
+ Oxygen: 1 hour
The covered information includes administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing, and oxygen delivery devices.
+ Blood Borne Pathogens: 1 hour
This covers what blood borne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced.
+ Babysitting Safety: 4 to 6 hours
This is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. The course includes safety, play, feeding, and emergencies.
