the HORROR.......the horror........
I'm older than dirt, born December 4th., 1943 in NYC.
I used to produce tv commercials, but I tired of it after a mere 25 - 26 years. So, in 1989 I left a company in which I was a partner and moved onto a 'ranch' I owned in northern New Mexico......1260 -+ acres.......I was raised in a 1 bedroom apartment in the Washington Heights neighborhood in upper Manhattan.....so, this was beyond my ability to conceive.
So, since 1989 I haven't worked in film and am exceeedingly happy about that......got involved first with American Quarter Horses (breeding & racing), then, after I moved to North Texas, with Thoroughbred racing bloodstock; breeding ONLY...I can't afford to race against the Sheik of Dubai.
Now, I have returned to New Mexico......its time to find a new road....
I'd sure like to travel that road with a lover, but, I can't seem to find a person who can put up with me; to whom I'm attracted.......
Maybe I'll meet you along the way......that would be nice.

My Online Life......
Chat Rooms?...sure, I love to explore....it all seems like ROLLER DERBY OF THE MIND in there..... Its amazing how much diversity exists and how much of it I find attractive, or provocative... live while one is alive, I guess. I'm drawn to the endless variety of how people express their earth-bound journeys...what they (and I) find exciting and sexually arousing and drawn to, to express their (our) individual sexuality....and how we all often search for those like minded people whom, until we find some, are never sure even exist! "I must be the ONLY ONE who likes THIS or THAT"...how sad. The completion and kinship and belonging that one feels when finally connected to people who find the same objects, people and behaviour exciting and fascinating is such a reaffirming event. I love meeting interesting, unique, often difficult people....as it becomes more true as I age that few people worth knowing, aren't, in some way, difficult. LOL

My Interests
I have traveled a bit and find that I very much enjoy a half dozen regions in Italy, the south pacific, etc. I would like a partner to be open to at least considering living outside the US for part of the year. I love to read. I enjoy contemporary literary fiction like Pynchon, Garcia-Marquez, DeLillo, Cormac McCarthy, Gordimer, Amis, Iain Banks, Richard Ford, David Foster Wallace, Ron Hansen, etc.
I enjoy photography, love to snorkel, beachcomb, bake in the sun, (I once returned from a month in Tahiti a color no white man had ever been!…I loved it)……..read, play games (backgammon, Scrabble, chess; you name it) and/or cards…… museums, woods, old places……etc. I like film and follow the work of Scorcese, Van Sant, The Coen Bro’s, Tarantino, Coppola, etc.
I take an interest in almost all sports AT PLAY-OFF TIME.....when the pressure is on it is compelling to watch who'll choke and fold and who'll rise to the occassion and distinguish themselves.....as they say, 'the human drama of competition'......
