Leo
This is Leo. He is a one year old Yorkshire Terrier. His owner gave him up, as she could not afford vet bills. Leo went straight to the vet. Here he is getting examined. Leo had sores on his back with the hair stuck to it. The vet said that the hair had to come off and that the sores were worse than they looked with the hair covering them.
So Leo got a hair cut. His sores were pretty deep. Leo has a staff (bacterial) infection. He has been at the vet clinic for 4 days now. He has gotten two medicated baths, injections; antibiotics and ear treatments, yearly shots, topical sprays, pain control meds and prednisone. Leo is a little trouper.
Leo also needs to be neutered but that will have to wait a while until his skin heals. Leo hopes to be well soon so that he can get a permanent home with someone that will love him and be able to take care of him. He is very sweet and loves everyone.
Leo's bills are mounting daily. He can not leave the clinic until his skin has healed enough to be in a home environment. This is his bill up to today, 10/20/02.
