THE CRESSMAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION

THE CRESSMAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION

SURNAMES WE RECOGNIZE: Croessmann, Chrisman, Creasman, Cresman, Cressman, Criesman, Crisman, Crissman and Kressman.

We are a family association whose members are descendants of approximately twenty Croessmann family members who came to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the 1700's and early 1800's from Pfungstad, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. These Croessmanns were all descendants of Christen Croessmann who was alive in Pfungstadt in 1580.

Our purpose is to encourage genealogical research, gather and preserve historical material for all our family lines, to publish the results of our research and to foster socialization among family members.

We have databases for our various lines, publish a quarterly newsletter and have some books for sale. We hold an annual reunion.

Our annual reunion will be held at First United Church of Christ, Quakertown, Sat. Oct. 1, 2005. Morning social hour and lunch will be followed by a presentation on wills, probates, administrations and Orphans Court Records, using records of our early immigrant ancestors as examples.
