Materials: About 1 ounce of Lily Sugar Babies 100% Baby Cotton worsted weight yarn, crochet hook size E (3.50 mm)

Gauge: Rounds 1-3 = 3"

Finished size: 9 1/2" diameter

To work a V-st: dc in the next ch-2 sp, ch 2, dc in the same ch-2 sp

Ch 5, join with a sl st in the first ch to form a ring

Round 1: Ch 4 to count as the first dc and the first ch 1, (dc in the ring, ch 1) 11 times; join with a sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 4. (12 dc and 12 ch-1 sps)

Round 2: Sl st into the first ch-1 sp, ch 5 to count as the first dc and the first ch 2, (dc in the next ch-1 sp, ch 2) 11 times; join with a sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 5. (12 dc and 12 ch-2 sps)

Round 3: Sl st into the first ch-2 sp, ch 5 to count as the first dc and the first ch 2, dc in the same sp, work a V-st in each remaining ch-2 sp around; join with a sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 5. (12 V-sts)

Round 4: Sl st into the first ch-2 sp, ch 5 to count as the first dc and the first ch 2, dc in the same sp, work a (V-st, ch 2) in each remaining V-st around; join with a sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 5. (12 V-sts and 12 ch-2 sps)

Round 5: Repeat round 3. (24 V-sts)

Round 6: Sl st into the first ch-2 sp, ch 5 to count as the first dc and the first ch 2, dc in the same sp, work a (V-st, ch 1) in each remaining V-st around; join with a sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 5. (24 V-sts and 24 ch-1 sps)

Round 7: Repeat round 4. (24 V-sts and 24 ch-2 sps)

Round 8: Repeat round 3. (48 V-sts)

Round 9: Sl st into the first ch-2 sp, ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 4 more dc in the same sp, sc in the next ch-2 sp, (5 dc in the next ch-2 sp, sc in the next ch-2 sp) 23 times; join with a sl st in the top of the beginning ch 3. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
