Materials: Size 10 crochet cotton thread; small amount of brown, small amount of petal color (yellow, gold, orange, burgundy, etc.)
Steel crochet hook size 4 (1.75 mm)
Two 6" circles of tulle
One yard ¼"brown ribbon
Sunflower potpourri
Yarn needle

Front
With brown, ch 6; join with a sl st to the first ch to form a ring
Round 1: Ch 4 to count as the first dc and the first ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 11 times in the ring; join with a sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 4. (12 dc & 12 ch-1 sps)
Round 2: Sl st into the first ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, ch 3, (sc in the next ch-1 sp, ch 3) 11 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. (12 ch-3 sps)
Round 3: Sl st into the first ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, ch 3, (sc in the next ch-3 sp, ch 3) 11 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. (12 ch-3 sps)
Round 4: Sl st into the first ch-3 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 3) twice in the same sp, (sc, ch 3) twice in each of the remaining 11 ch-3 sps; join with a sl st in the first sc. (24 ch-3 sps)
Rounds 5-7: Sl st into the first ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, ch 3, (sc in the next ch-3 sp, ch 3) 23 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. (24 ch-3 sps)
Round 8: Sl st into the first ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, ch 4, (sc in the next ch-3 sp, ch 4) 23 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. (24 ch-4 sps) Fasten off brown.
Round 9: Attach petal color with a sc in any ch-4 sp, sc in the same sp, ch 10, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, trc in each of the next 4 ch's, dc in the next ch, hdc in the next ch, 2 sc in the same ch-4 sp, (2 sc in the next ch-4 sp, ch 10, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, trc in each of the next 4 ch's, dc in the next ch, hdc in the next ch, 2 sc in the same ch-4 sp) 23 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. With brown, ch 6; join with a sl st to the first ch to form a ring
Rounds 1-8: Work the same as rounds 1-8 of the front.
Round 9: Attach petal color with a sc in any ch-4 sp, work 3 more sc in the same sp, ch 10, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, trc in each of the next 4 ch's, dc in the next ch, hdc in the next ch, (4 sc in the next ch-4 sp, ch 10, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, trc in each of the next 4 ch's, dc in the next ch, hdc in the next ch) 23 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. Fasten off.
Assembly: Thread a yarn needle with brown ribbon. Sandwich 2 larger pieces of tulle between the two crocheted pieces, then sew all 4 layers 3/4 of the way around the perimeter with the ribbon. Insert potpourri between tulle layers and finish sewing closed. Trim tulle. Decorate with a bow and hanging loop of ribbon.
