5 Petal Scrubby
Materials: 1 nylon scrubby
1 ½ oz worsted weight kitchen cotton yarn
“G” hook
Any color cotton yarn can be used. This is a great pattern for using up scraps!
The whole scrubby was made in less than 2 hours.
Round 1: Attach yarn to scrubby with a sl st. Chain 3, sc around making 15
chain 3 loops evenly spaced.
Round 2: Sl st into 1st chain 3 space; work 1 sc. Chain 4, sc in next chain 3
space.
Chain 3, work 4 dc in next chain 3 space. *Chain 3, sc in next chain 3 space.
Chain 4, sc in next chain 3 space.* Repeat around and join to 1st sc.
Round 3: Sl st to center of next chain 4 space. Chain 3, sc in next chain 3
space. Chain 3, *work 2 dc in next dc, work 1dc in each of next 2 dc, work 2 dc
in last dc. Chain 3, sc in next chain 3 space. Chain 3, sc in next chain 4 space.
Chain 3, sc in next chain 3 space.* Repeat around joining with sl st to 1st sc.
Round 4: Sl st to center of 1st chain 3 space, sc. *Chain 5, 2 dc in 1st dc, 1 dc
in each of next 4 dc, 2 dc in last dc. Chain 5, skip next chain 3 space. Chain 3,
sc in next chain 3 space.* Repeat around ending with sl st in 1st sc.
Round 5: Sl st to 1st dc. *Dc in the first dc, dc the next 2 dc sts together, dc in
each of next 2 dc sts, dc next 2 dc sts together, dc in last dc. Chain 8.* repeat
around ending with chain 3, sl st in top of 1st chain 3.
Round 6: *Chain 3(counts as 1st dc), dc the next 2 sts together x 2. Dc in last
dc. Chain 3, sc in chain 8 space. Chain 5, sc in same chain 8 space. Chain 5, sc
in next chain 8 space. Chain 5, sc in same space. Chain 3.* Repeat around
ending with sl st in 1st chain 3 (1st dc).
Round 7: *Sc in top of 1st dc, chain 5. Sc in last dc, chain 5. Skip chain 3
space, sc in next chain 5 space. Sc in next chain 5 space x 2. Chain 5.* Repeat
around and finish off. Weave in all ends.
