Body
Row 1:    Chain 65, work 1 half-double crochet in 3rd chain from hook and in each stitch across (62 half-double crochet).
Row 2:    Chain 3 (counts as 1st double crochet here and throughout). Work 1 double crochet in each of the next 3 stitches. Skip 1 stitch, work double crochet in the next stitch, work 1 double crochet in the stitch just skipped (1 cross stitch completed). Repeat working cross-stitches across, working 1 double crochet in each of the last 4 stitches.
Row 3:    Chain 2, work 1 half-double crochet in each stitch across.
Rows 4-63    Work rows 2 & 3 alternately ending in a half-double crochet row.
Number of rows can be adjusted to accommodate size required.
(Ladies medium was made with approximately 63 pattern rows before cuffs.
Ladies ex-large was made with approximately 83 pattern rows before cuffs).
Fasten off.
Cuffs
Row 1:    Join yarn with slip stitch into top of first half-double crochet on last row. Work 1 decrease single crochet in every 2 stitches across as follows: draw up a loop in 1st stitch, draw up a loop in 2nd stitch, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook (1 Decrease single crochet made). Repeat around. Join with slip stitch into top of first stitch. You are now working in rounds.
Row 2:    Repeat Row 1.

Ribbing
After joining, chain 10. Working back down this chain work 1
half-double crochet in 3rd chain from hook and in each of the next
 7 chains.
(8 half-double crochet stitches). Work 1 single crochet into base of the
corresponding decrease stitch from the decrease row below. *Work 1 single crochet
into base of the next decrease stitch. Chain 1. Work 1 half-double crochet in the
back loop only of each of the next 8 half-double crochets. Chain 2, work 1 half-
double crochet back loop only of each of the next 8 half-double crochets back down
to the base.* Repeat around.
Fasten off leaving a long tail. Use this tail to whip stitch the cuff closed. (I also whip
stitched up approximately 2 inches of the body on each side.) Repeat for the
opposite cuff.
Weave ribbon through stitches of the 2nd decrease row on each cuff, tying into a
bow on top. Secure bow with a few drops of "Ok To Wash It" glue. Place a rose on
top of bow.
