Let's get excited! Fall is here with winter fast approaching -- and it's a time to think of all the possibilities! Of picking up the crochet hook for the first time, or in learning a new stitch or crochet technique. What will it be for you?
Crochet is the fashion accessory -- from buttons to broaches, from sweaters & ponchos to shrugs and bags! And it's on the "Social Scene" too: on College Campuses, Coffee Houses, Libraries, on trains and buses ... just look around and there's bound to be someone with hook in hand enjoying the stitching process.
I've found in teaching my classes that most beginners want to learn how to crochet so that they can create special gifts for their family & friends ... and
if not for a new baby being welcomed, then as a delightful gift in December. So don't let the cold weather slow you down! To help in tracking how many more days are left until Christmas, I have this
counter here so we both can keep track:

If you're interested in participating in one of my crochet classes or workshops, then please look to the left for the class location that interests you. There you'll find the current Class Schedules ... and if you're from the Connecticut area, there's an online group called ConnecticutCrochet that may interest you in joining. Along with meeting other Crocheters from our state, there's links to check out, space for you to upload pictures of your work you'd like to share with the group, and more. (You do not need to be a member of The HHCC to join.)
