AT CRYSTAL'S CLIPS MOBILE GROOMING SPA, LLC, WE DO MORE THAN JUST HAIRCUTS. Regular grooming of animals promotes better health and hygiene. It helps to control shedding, skin disorders, uncomfortable mats and other problems that may go unnoticed without attention.
We offer a "DESHEDDING MAINTENANCE PROGRAM". Animals shed their coats periodically throughout the year. The environment, dryness and inattention to brushing and grooming can worsen this condition. In between professional groomings, we recommend a 15 minute ($15) or a 30 minute ($20) session to help control this problem. It eliminates the dry, dead hair while stimulating new hair growth. Within a short period of time, shedding is minimal. YOUR FURNITURE WILL LOVE IT TOO!
"WHIRLPOOL THERAPY" for a 30 minute session ($25) is offered as a holistic approach in relieving a pet's aches, pains and tension. Our heat-activated, adjustable speed, turbo jets provide a bubbling flow of water to those areas of discomfort (Arthritis, stiffness, inactivity due to an injury, surgery or illness).
Many pet's nails have been trimmed too short which has caused them to be unruly and skittish. At CRYSTAL'S CLIPS, we have found that "NAIL GRINDING" ($8-$10) is a better method in dealing with these pets. This technique is similar to an electric emery board and adds a more finished appearance to nails that are long, thick and brittle. Keeping the nails trimmed back will control most problems of ingrowth, built up dirt and discomfort in walking.
"LIGHT FORCE THERAPY" safely relieves minor muscle & joint discomfort through photo-stimulation. Muscle tissue temperature and blood circulation is temporarily elevated which is essential in reliving pain and relaxing muscles. A 20 minute session
is ($20).

In between your pet's professional groomings, brushing is important to distribute the natural oils in their skin while conditioning them to enjoy the grooming & spa more. Good equipment is the key for success in your pet's maintenance. A quality "SLICKER BRUSH" and "COMB" is needed for most basic breed grooming. I, Susanne Cox, attended the "Colorado School of Pet Grooming" graduating in 1986. I then started "CRYSTAL'S CLIPS GROOMING" in honor of my cat. I am a member of the "Colorado Professional Pet Groomers Association", the "National Dog Groomers Association of America" and regulated by the state's "Department of Agriculture". I am committed to providing the very best in quality grooming, pet care and ethical business practices
Every year, I attend conventions consisting of seminars, demonstrations and vendors to maintain my awareness and education in this industry to meet the needs of the pet owner and their pet(s).
I am certified by the "NDGA" in "Terriers" and "Non-Sporting" breeds.
CRYSTAL'S PHILOSOPHY
The animal's welfare is always considered as a first priority. If a certain technique or procedure is determined to be harmful or abusive to a pet, I will consider another option.
Personal welfare is considered in the handling of any animal, thus allowing the
right to refuse to groom any pet that may cause a danger.
I offer all breed professional grooming, and I am trained to know which clip is
appropriate for each breed. However, I will gladly help one decide if one wishes
a different style.
I am "TRANQUILIZER-FREE" and practice only the best grooming techniques using gentle, loving care.

CRYSTAL'S CLIPS GROOMING POLICIES:
WE COME TO YOUR LOCATION, thereby minimizing pet anxiety.
DOG AND CAT GROOMING IS A SPECIALIZED SERVICE. All animals' prices are quoted on the basis of their: Size, Difficulty, Condition of their Coat and type of of Cut &/or Style.
We realize that situations & emergencies can happen. Our income is based on time and a "24 HOUR" notice for a cancellation of an appointment is expected. Anything less, will be charged to the customer at the scheduled grooming price.
A minimum DEPOSIT is required for all first time customers with two or more animals.

FAQ'S
WHY DOESN'T MY DOG LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES?
There are many adorable pictures that one feels would look cute on their pet, but many are not suitable for certain animals for many reasons. Pet styling is an art and groomers are trained to know what would best suit your pet. Pet owners view their animals the way they think they should look without considering their bone structure, coat texture and coat condition. A large proportion of dogs are being bred that haven't a clue about proper breeding practices. Pet stylists see approximately 1 out of every 100 poodles groomed that have the proper coat texture. Attending a dog show can be informative in seeing what various breeds should look like. If your dog has the proper coat, then yours can be styled like the show dogs. However, if you don't want to deal with the amount of maintenence involved, then a shorter style may be a more realistic option. Various styles can be adjusted to compensate for an overweight pet or one that has an odd shaped body or head, etc. Trust your stylist to know what they think would look best. Minor changes can be made here & there. If it is too long, it can always be shortened. REMEMBER THOUGH: It is only hair and it will grow back!
WHY CAN'T I WATCH WHILE MY DOG IS BEING GROOMED?
The point is that stylists would love to have you watch them, but dogs become very excited having their owners see them that they can run the risk of being injured. Groomers use many sharp tools while styling and pets that move around on the grooming table are at a higher risk of being wrongly cut. "DO NOT" be offended if your groomer asks you to step outside for a moment so they can complete your pet. Try to remember to come into a pet salon quietly so someone else's dog is not at risk. Doors opening or closing and voices excite animals at the most inoportune time. A quiet entry could mean that you might be able to see your pet being styled or possibly someone elses pet.
