CTA BUS ASSIGNMENTS - 1974
In 1972 and 1973 CTA received 1,070 new buses from General Motors, giving the CTA an entirely "New Look" fleet. All buses were diesel, except for a group of "New Look" propane buses which remained in service out of North Park Garage for two more years.21 buses based at North Park Garage temporarily renumbered for Evanston service.
Quantity of buses assigned precedes the manufacturer and year built, and may be less than quantity in series due to retirements, etc.
