CTA BUS ASSIGNMENTS - 1978
Throughout the 1970's, CTA received 1,870 new buses from General Motors, giving the CTA an entirely "New Look" diesel fleet. By 1978, the oldest "New Look" buses had been retired.25 buses based at North Park Garage temporarily renumbered for Evanston service.
Quantity of buses assigned precedes the manufacturer and year built, and may be less than quantity in series due to retirements, etc.
