CTA BUS ASSIGNMENTS - 1992
CTA had just received two large orders of lift equipped buses, replacing many of the old General Motors buses delivered in the 1970's. Limits Garage and 69th Street Garage did not receive any new buses, as those converted streetcar barns had servicing lanes too narrow to accommodate the lift equipped buses. Those garages were closed a few years later.Quantity of buses assigned precedes the manufacturer and year built, and may be less than quantity in series due to retirements, etc.
