PINK LINE

Immediately south of Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital, the Pink Line stops at Polk St. The Polk St. station was rebuilt in recent years, view is looking north towards the hospital. Considering how the new hospital expansion was constructed over the rapid transit line, it is hard to tell that the rapid transit line is already elevated.

Most of the Pink Line is elevated. But the outlying segment in the town of Cicero is at ground level, including street crossings with gates, bells and flashers. An eastbound train is seen crossing Cicero Ave., after stopping at that station.
