Michael's loathe to give up his freedom, but soon finds himself in danger of losing his heart to sweet Ellen.

The character of Michael Trent was inspired by a real-life American soldier, Sam Chamberlain. In his rollicking autobiography, MY CONFESSION: THE TRUE STORY OF A ROGUE, Sam details his many adventures on the battlefield and in the bedroom. When I read about Sam's ill-fated marriage of convenience to "Scotch Ellen" I knew I had to rewrite the tale to give it a happier ending.

A HUSBAND BY LAW is funny and sexy and I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
