MEET MY BLUE AND GOLD MACAW.......Frank!!
And Heeeeere's Frank!!
Name:  Frank
Breed: Blue And Gold Macaw
Age:   16 yrs. old

Blue and Gold Macaw's make wonderful pets.  They are very loving and loyal to their owners.  When my husband brought Frank home I was a little apprehensive at first because he was so big.  From his head to the end of his tail he is 3 feet long.  I have a cage that is 5 feet high and 4 feet wide.

Let me tell you a little bit about Frank.  He not only eats his seeds but also eats everything we eat.  When my husband and I are having dinner we give him some of what we are eating.  When I put some food in his dish Frank looks at it and says,"HOT?"  Only when I tell him, "No, it's not hot!" is when he will start eating.  Once he tastes the food and if he likes it he says, "Mmmmmm good, I like it!"

After dinner he wants me to pick him up.  He stands on my arm with his head on my shoulder and loves when I pet his head.  If I have company Frank greets them saying, "HI, how are you?".

Blue and Gold Macaws live from 80 to 100 years.  It makes me feel good that I'll have him with me for the rest of my life.  Of course I'll have to leave him in my will in which I told my son that he'd better marry someone who loves birds because Frank goes to him.

Frank and my cat Scales.  Seems like Frank has a secret to tell.
"Ok Frank, I'm following you, but don't get me in trouble."
"We had a busy day today.  Time for bed.  Goodnight Scales!"  "Goodnight Frank!"
My cat Scales passed away on July 8, 2006 at the age of 10 years old from diabetes.  Here is my tribute to him:

Scales, Our beautiful cat.  Your mother left you at our front door and never came back.  You were starving.  We took you in and from that day on we loved you so very much.  Thank God we had you for 10 wonderful years.  When our dog Misty was dying you stayed with her all night.  When she cried, you cried and kissed her.  The next day when we took Misty to the vet to be put to rest we found cat food where she was laying.  She wasn't eating and you tried to feed her.  You my little kitty were her nursemaid and now you are together forever.  We will never forget you and will love you always.
