To Our Wingate Reunion 2000

Classes 57 through 69

Hi! My name is Deirdra and I graduated from George W. Wingate in 1965.

On September 22, 2000 we had a Wingate reunion at the Raleigh Hotel, Upstate, N.Y. 200 people showed for this wonderful weekend. We ate, we drank, we talked, we laughed and a good time was had by all.

People came from all over. Brooklyn, Florida, California, Arizona, Colorado, one person came all the way from Italy.

Many of us have not seen each other for more than 35 years. The following are pictures that were taken for this everlasting event. Some of these pictures are how we looked back then and how we look now.

Florence Waxman (64)

Florence now works as a guidance counselor at Wingate.

Harvey Feldman (65) and wife Marsha

Harvey lived in the same apartment building as I. We played together as children. He is now a guidance counselor at a Junior High School in Bklyn.

Abe Mittleman (65)

Here is Abe showing off his award that he received from Roslyn Goldman. This award was for the good work and organizing he did for our reunion. He worked very hard and we all would like to thank him for all his efforts putting together our Wingate Reunion 2000. JOB WELL DONE ABE!!!!!!!

Dennis lived across the street from me when we were kids. I was so excited to see Harvey and Dennis.

Roslyn played a big part with Abe in making our reunion the best ever. She also organized a Wingate chatroom and our Wingate Boards. Thanks Ros.
