I went in for some major neck surgery, and had Dagger there with me. When we were at the hospital, I took Dagger outside to go potty, and we met this lady out there who had a boy that had been in a BAD car accident. I offered to take Dagger in to see him. We did, and the boy was not only able to focus to look at Dagger (and he wasn't able to before), but he even reached out to touch him. They never thought he'd be able to do ANY of this. Dagger was so cute, we put him up on a chair so the boy could see him, and Dagger would whine, lick his hand, and nudge it a bit. That was when the boy was able to reach out to him.
It was SO cool to watch this. This boys parents AND the nurse, started crying. They were all so thankful, and I was so amazed with my dog. Somehow ~ he just knew what this young boy was capable of, when nobody else was...
