The Computer Operations outsource team was a select group of people who were responsible for the following activities related to outsourcing data centers and information system support: Develop RFI; Create base-line; Develop comparative scenarios; Review vendor proposals; Assist in contract development. |

Responsible for implementing several Metasystem Availability Centers as part of a service improvement project. A MAC center is a work group that manages a distributed system which supports a business function (e.g. Service Provisioning, Technician Dispatch, Stock Order Provisioning, etc.) from a business perspective across platforms. |

Service Manager - IT Client Services |

The Service Manager was responsible for tracking internal IT customer service, handling client service complaints and initiating service improvement activities. The Service Manager was also responsible for developing and managing service level agreements. I was the lead person responsible for defining the job description and role of the IT Service Manager and IT Problem Manager for the corporation. |

Manager - Regional Network Control Center |

Shared responsibility (geographical split) for managing a corporate data network which included: TCP/IP WAN(300+ routers); SNA network (80+ NCPs); 85,000 terminals. Worked with other manager as a team sharing the network management workload between our two workgroups. Responsible for supervising two second level technical managers, two first level technical managers and 11 craft (union eligible) technicians. |

Manager - Network Control Center Administration |

Responsible for developing methods and procedures for a regional network control center. Responsible for managing the NCC's budgets and resources (headcount). The NCC had a staff of 109 employees. Responsible for all NCC planning including a network control center consolidation effort. This project involves consolidating six operational centers into two centers using standard methods and procedures and tools. Responsible for supervising nine analysts. |

Senior Analyst - Network Software Support |

Responsible for the software maintenance and continuing development of a store and forward system. The software was written in C and developed under UNIX; however, the system ran on Data General processors using DG.'s AOS/VS operating system. Supported the build system and custom compilers also.
Responsible for the software maintenance and continuing development of a remote terminal concentrator. The software was developed under UNIX; however, the system ran on Data General processors using a proprietary custom operating system. Lead software responsibility for the network application, operating system, and software build system including the custom compilers.
Responsible for the design, development and support of a X.25 interface between report forwarding system and IBM based applications. |

Responsible for the capacity planning of a shared terminal network consisting of four message switching processors, two remote terminal concentrators, six hosts, a network management system and 5,000 terminals. Responsible for configuring and ordering network elements. Responsible for coordinating equipment installation. |

Analyst - Computer Communications Trouble Analysis Center (CCTAC) |

Responsible for the analysis of teleprocessing related problems and assignment of those problems to the appropriate problem resolver groups. Special Assignment: Responsible for interfacing with Bell Telephone Laboratories during the testing of their network management product, Centralized Network Management (CNM). Worked with BTL to resolve issues on screen design, alarm presentation and the human engineering of the network control position. |
