"Chicken Gumbo" by Les Davis
Les heavily modified his Tin Chicken kit to come up with this distinctive rail truck -- he scratchbuilt a heavy-duty pilot ... kitbashed the cab for a half-wood, half-steel design ... cut down the truck bed and added decking (nicely cluttered with lots of details) ... and added a fuel tank to the roof. Wow!

"Silver Chicken" by Richard Barker
Richard finished his Tin Chicken with a silver paint job, a heavy duty headlight, a variety of detail parts ... and, most important, the custom Tin Chicken decals that he offers on his website -- click photo for details.

"Lime Chicken" by Lars Ringqvist
The crew is out for a ride in Lars' colorful and neatly detailed rail truck with a polished radiator, a stack of lumber, a couple of tools and a large can of milk ... or maybe moonshine?

"Chicken on the Workbench" by Jay Cohen
Jay's completed rail truck is still on the workbench, but eager to go into service! Jay customized the pilot and used raw stripwood to give the side panels a different look.

"Orange Chicken" by Chuck Chenault
Chuck decided to widen the stance of his Tin Chicken rail truck to operate on On3 track -- he widened the wheel gauge on the mechanism and used spacers to move the sidesills out slightly. He also decided to omit the truck bed and simply use a crate to cover the motor on his neat & clean truck.

"Skinny Chicken" by Alan Carroll
(Two photos -- unpainted model)
Alan has a knack for taking On30 kits and converting them to the "extra narrow gauge" On18 -- that's O scale running on N scale track. Alan used a Life-Like N scale diesel chassis to convert his Tin Chicken for On18 operation as shown in the "gizzards" photo.

"Aqua Chicken" by Craig Palmer
Craig kitbashed his Tin Chicken using the water tank from a short HO freight car to produce this nifty water-delivery truck ... a similar design could be used for weed-spraying or fire-fighting equipment.

"Rusty Rooster" by Paul Templar
Paul borrowed some inspiration from Les Davis' model to build his distinctive "Rusty Rooster" -- loaded up with detail and right at home on Paul's Coon Creek Railroad.
The Coon Creek Railroad is loaded with detail and well worth a visit -- Click photo to visit Paul's website!
