144th Ohio Volunteer Infantry
This page is designed to give links to much of the existant correspondence concerning the 144th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Click the links at right to read various letters, some of which are transcriptions I donated to the Center for Archival Collections at Bowling Green University. Other links include the Samuel McClain letters and diary, and the Weddell Family Papers which had a number of letters from men in the 144th O.V.I.

Click here to read two letters from unidentified correspodents in Companies E and F of the 144th. The first letter concerns Company E's movement from Baltimore to Wilmington, Delaware in May 1864 while the second concerns the actions of Company F during Jubal Early's raid into Maryland during July 1864.
