Arrivals and Departures at Central Union Terminal, Toledo on September 24, 1950
Compiled from employee timetable No. 68 for the Toledo Terminal District, a listings of all the trains that used Central Union Terminal shortly after it opened in September 1950. Down to 68 trains daily, this number would plummet in the next two decades before passenger service ceased in the early 1970s.

1955-1957 Toledo West Freight Conductor's Train Book:
The conductor's train book listed motive power, crew, consist with cargos, weights, and destinations. The book also listed events in each individual trip such as stops for hot box repairs, being shunted for other trains,etc. These books originally belonged to Conductor C.K. Rode of Toledo West. Any errors in the consists as regards numbering, roads, etc. are my fault- Conductor Rode's handwritten notes were sometimes hard to decipher. A fascinating and detailed look at freight operations on the Toledo Division in the mid 1950s!

Centralized Traffic Control on Toledo West

This article, from the July 1, 1957 issue of Railway Age, mostly concerns the innovative CTC control machine installed on Toledo West when the line was converted to CTC in the late 1950s but includes supplemental information on the operating principles of CTC as well as additional information on the complete conversion process for Toledo West.
