Our Grandbaby...Jeff
Meet Jeff..our first grandbaby...the absolute love of our life. He is without doubt the most life affirming experience I have had since the birth of my own children. I had forgotten the wonder of a new child in the family...he smells like heaven..he burst my heart with his smile and my soul gets lost in his amazing blue eyes....
needless to say we are all quite carried away with our newest member of our family.

Favorite Toys
Jeff has an almost obsessive love for books...he has since he was about 9 months. I have no idea why an infant would LOVE books the way this kid does and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. He loves to look at the pictures, be read to and to HANDLE books. He is now 30 months as of this writing and his love of cars runs a close second to books. oh..and this kid is the happiest child I have ever met..always a smile on his face. He is the sunshine of our life in case you haven't figured this out by now !

Milestones
Jeff began talking fairly early...and the first word I heard out of his mouth was NANA...however, I am sure it was for my benefit only and Mama/Dada actually might have been the first words. I do know he took his first 6 steps to me..he was a late walker, but once he started he hasn't stopped. Active is the main word to describe Jeff at this time in his short little life. He loves his mommy and daddy, nana and papa..grammy and grumpy !..( I be the nana ! )....he adores his auntie and is facinated with her rainbow colored hair..( my daughter, who is currently a ' punk rocker ' with all the bells and bows )....I suspect this little guy is moving right along as he should be with all his milestones...and if he isn't we don't care..we adore him anyway !
