Happy
Holidays, World!
It's been yet another big year for Dan & Kendall. If you did
not receive a traditional dead-tree card this year, please
send us your snail-mail address so we can drop one in the mail.

Here's a quick look at our past year...

Gone Green: Kendall gave in to her green side by
joining the Land Trust Alliance in February as editor of the organization's
periodicals. She's looking forward to getting close to home at next year's
National Land Trust Rally in Snowmass, Colorado.
New 'News': Dan decided to leave behind White House
scandals and other such "news" ¾ we use
the expression lightly ¾ and help everyday
folks publish their own news instead. He made the jump this August from
Knight Ridder Tribune's online news service to America Online, where he
is now a program manager for Web communities. See his work at http://hometown.aol.com,
or click "Welcome" in the blue bar above. (This page is in the
Hometown AOL community).
Out Standing: Kendall, her sister Wendy, and Wendy's
fiancé Bob, stood in line six long hours for tickets to the National
Gallery of Art's Van Gogh exhibit, on loan from Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum.
Dan vows to break this family line-standing record when he gets tickets
for the new Star Wars movie, "The Phantom Menace," which debuts on May
21st. See the trailer for the movie at the Star
Wars Web site. (You'll need to download and install the Real
Video player to see it.)

Literary Tastes: Morgan the minilop joined the family this
summer. He resides in his two-story bunny condo when he isn't running
around the apartment munching on magazines and the occasional telephone
wire. His literary tastes tend toward Arthur C. Clarke, or whatever's
on the bottom bookshelf. Visit him at his own
Web site.

Colorado Tales: Many of our summer highlights were at high altitudes.
This included attending Greg and Erika Story's wedding at Gorono Ranch
above Telluride, hiking with Kendall's family, and meeting Dan's sister,
Andrea, in Silverton at the end of her summer-long trek along the Colorado
Trail.
All Relative: We had fun with lots of visitors in the first two
weeks of June, including Andy and Marilyn (Kendall's parents); Dan's siblings
Andrea and Nelson; Nelson's girlfriend, Lori; Dot and Elliott (Dan's aunt
and uncle); and Raquel, Rolando and Ricardo (Dan's cousins from Puerto
Rico). Activities included a visit to Monticello, merengue dancing at
Coco Loco, and scaling a climbing wall.
New Digs: Our old apartment at Executive Central wasn't living
up to the name, so we found a new place at the Potomac at Riverhouse in
February. We're happy to report this one doesn't live up to its name either
¾ the river is a safe half mile away,
and at least 10 flights down.
