Poem I liked best: The one about your dear fathers death
Comments about the web site: My mother died just five months ago I am only 18, of a drug overdose. And it hurt like hell to loose her. She was a great woman with a heart of gold. We knew this would happen sooner or later, but regardless of when it was to happen we knew it would hurt like hell. When she passed away we donated some of her organs, a heart was one of them along with a few others. I am so happy to know that the people who get these organs have kids who care so much about them. You are a terrific person and I would like to have more of your poems if you have any. I wish you all the best and don't worry your dad is in heaven now with my mother everything will be just fine.

Poem I liked best: If I Should Give You Rainbows
Comments about the web site: They are all so touching and heartfelt. I cried. You show great insight and compassion. Like your dad, I was also born in Teaneck NJ. I am sorry about the recent loss of your father. You sound like you have a close family; they can be a comfort and strengh. When I first lost my mom I could only focus on how she was gone from my life (how could I live without her) but in the years since, I've learned that she's present everywhere in my life. So is God. From reading your peoms it sounds like you know this. That is a blessing at times of sorrow. To believe in just living isn't enough. May you find love and strength in those that love you, and comfort in knowing he has seen God's eyes. I wish you peace, Cathy

Comments about the web site: Very nice, Dave ... even though it brought tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat :)

I know *I* spent as much time with my kids this weekend as I possibly could, just thanking God that I am able to do that. I can't help but wonder how many other parents have been reminded this week exactly how precious our children are, even though we have squabbles and they drive us insane. Think how quiet our homes would be if they were never coming back... A very sobering thought, no matter how serious the problems between parent and child.

Comments about the web site: My Grandmother was truly an angel herself. I miss her so much and think of her often. It's been 7 years since she died. She still guides me in my days, I feel, for when I'm down and might not know what to do or feel, I just think of her and somehow she helps me through. I believe she will always look over me and guide me when needed. She is truly "my" angel. I love you, Gram.

Poem I liked best: To Grandmother With Love
Comments about the web site: My grandmother died in 1986 and she never got to see my two beautiful children. One thing that stands out in my mind is how one day a couple of years before her death, we were looking at a little shop and she bought me a small porcelain of a blue-eyed little girl. She said, "I'll bet your child will look like this." Sure enough my first-born was a girl ... with blue eyes.
