ARTOO'S ARROYO
The establishing shot of R2-D2 entering the canyons of the Jundland Wastes actually took place in an area known as Artists Palette. As a result of the numerous mineral deposits, the rocks in the canyon have turned various hues of red and green creating a beautiful "pallete" of colors. Debbie and I took a stroll through the canyon but never once spotted even one Jawa.
