Other than driving for miles up a steep, winding road, this was perhaps the easiest location to find, as Dante's Peak is a rather famous overlook in Death Valley. A 360-degree panoramic view of the floor of the borax flats serves as the overlook of Mos Eisley. Although the spaceport was painted in later, the view is almost identical to the shot in the film taken 25 years earlier.
