MATERIALS: hook "G"; worsted weight crochet cotton; nylon scrubber pad
|
||||||||||||||
|
Working around scrubber:
1. Join cotton yarn with a sc, work 33 more sc evenly sp'd around. Join with a sl st to first sc. (34 sc).
2. Ch 1, DO NOT TURN, work sc in same st as joining, *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st. Rep from * around. Ending with 2 sc in last sc. Join with sl st to beg sc.
FIRST WING
1. Ch 17, work dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. (15 dc). Sl st in next 2 sts on scrubber, turn.
2. Dc in first dc, *ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in next dc. Rep from * across row. Ch 3, turn.
3. Dc in each ch-1 sp and in each dc across row. Sl st in next 2 sc on scrubber.
4-7. Rep Rows 2-3 twice more.
SKIRT
1. Ch 33. Work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. (31 dc). Sl st in next 2 sc on scrubber. Turn.
2. Dc in first dc, *ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in next dc. Rep from * acr row. Ch 3, turn.
3. Work 1 dc in each ch-1 sp and in each dc acr row. Sl st in next 2 sc on scrubber. Turn.
4. Work 1 dc in each st across. Sl st in next sc on scrubber. Ch 3, turn.
5-15. Rep rows 3 & 4 alternately ending with a row 3 repeat.
16-17. Rep rows 2 & 3.
SECOND WING
Rep same as for FIRST WING, except end Row 7 with sl st in next sc on scrubber (instead of in next 2 sc). DO NOT TURN.
EDGING
Ch 1, sc in same st as last sl st and in next 6 sc, ch 9, sk next 7 sc, sc in next 7 sc. Sc in first st of beg ch of FIRST WING. *Ch 3, sk 1 st, sc in next st*. Rep bet *'s across. Ch 3, sc in first row on end of wing. (Ch 3, work sc in end of next row) 7 times. Ch 3, sc in top of ch-3 of row 7 of wing. (Ch 3, sk 1 st sc in next st) 7 times. Sc in next sc. (Ch 3, sk 1 st, sc in next st) 15 times. Ch 3. sc in end of row 1 of skirt. (Ch 3, sc in end of next row) 16 times. Ch 3, sc in top of ch-3 of row 17 of skirt. (Ch 3, sk 1 st, sc in next st) 15 times. Sc in first ch-lp of beg ch of 2nd wing. (Ch 3, sk 1 st, sc in next st) 7 times. Ch 3, sc in end of row 1 of 2nd wing. (Ch 3, sc in end of next row) 6 times. Ch 3, sc in top of ch-3 of row 7 of 2nd wing. (Ch 3, sk 1 st, sc in next st) 7 times. Sc in next sc. (Ch 3, sk 1 st, sc in next st) across top to first ch-3 lp.
End off. Weave in ends.
