MATERIALS:
small amount of cotton yarn (such as Peaches & Cream)
1, 3" plastic or nylon pot scrubber
hook size "H"
SIZE: 9 1/2" from tip of petal across to tip of petal

1) Working around the scrubber, join with a sc and work 31 more sc evenly spaced around the edge. (32 sc). Join with a sl st into the first sc.
2) Ch 1, sc in same st as joining. Sk 1 sc, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc - Shell made). *Sk next sc, sc in next sc, sk next sc, work shell in next sc*. Rep from * to * aro. Sk next sc, join with sl st in beg sc. (8 petals)
3) Ch 1, sc in same st as joining. Sk 1 dc, dc in next dc, work shell in ch-1 sp of shell below, dc in next dc, sk next dc, *sc in sc, sk next dc, dc in next dc, shell in ch-1 sp of next shell, dc in next dc, sk next dc*. Rep from * to * around. Join with sl st in beg sc.
4) Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sk next dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, shell in ch-1 sp of shell below, dc in each of next 2 dc, sk next dc, *sc in sc, sk next dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, shell in next ch-1 sp, dc in each of next 2 dc, sk next dc*. Rep from * to * aro. Join with sl st to beg sc.
5) Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sk 1 dc, dc in each of next 3 dc, 5 dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in each of next 3 dc, *sk 1 dc, sc in next sc, sk 1 dc, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, 5 dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in each of next 3 dc*. Rep from * to * aro. Sk next dc, join with sl st in beg sc.
6) Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sk 1 dc, dc in each of next 4 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 4 dc, *sk next dc, sc in sc, sk next dc, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, 3 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, sk next dc*. Rep from * to * aro, join with a sl st to beg sc.
End off and weave in ends.
