The guest cottage, reached by a short path from the main building, has been renovated
with the same imagination as well as both eye to design and comfort as the main
building. With its own small but well-equipped kitchen, exposed stone-walled sitting
room with another satellite TV & retaining the glorious feature of the original & still
functional bread-oven, the guest cottage is self-contained dwelling with its own access
directly onto Travigne’s lovely grounds. The two bedrooms, a double & a twin each
feature wrought-iron bed frames & have, respectively, an en-suite bathroom with a
bath-tub incorporating a glass-doored shower & an adjacent private shower room.
Within Travigne’s carefully maintained fenced & gated grounds, a stone-stepped
pathway leads through lawns set with both ancient and young olive trees and a
weeping willow towards the swimming pool. Set in a stone-flagged surround & with a
solar-heated shower-cubicle, the pool area with its large umbrella and teak
pool-loungers offers the full glories of the Tuscan sun and countryside.
With the beautiful hill-town of Cortona only a few minutes away, the beaches of Lake
Trasimeno close by, Siena, Florence, Perugia, Assisi & all the principal attractions of
Tuscany and Umbria (including, for golfers, the Perugia Golf Club) within easy
