1.11.04

working on art for the cds. i'm fairly excited about what i've got so far. some of it i've posted here. in new band news, senor kevin wendt who worked with myself on this project previously has a great new trio calling themselves "fer de lance". as soon as they get anything web-oriented i'll link it.. until then, check em out live. jeremy judy (who also played drums at one point) is playing with "the before picture". umm, that's about it for this exciting episode.

8.16.03

ummm.. alright, i suck. i can fully admit that. much time has passed without note on this here project. word is: we will be releasing at least two albums worth of old material within the next few months. AND, we'll be doing a new grip of songs too... just to see you smile. the first of these will be "heading into laughter". it was my first even marginally successful foray into home recording and i think i did an okay job. well, you'll hear it soon enough. it's been finished (sans mastering) and sitting on the shelf, so to speak, since the end of 2001. so it'll be nice to see it in the hands of someone other than myself finally. the second group of tunes is only about 5 months younger than the first and is yet untitled. i still have to polish that one up a bit and then it'll be out there too. anyway. hope all's good in those lives out there.. it's a weird world we live in.

alright, alright. it's been awhile, but i think we may be a band. i'm not going to mention their names yet (jinx ). hoping to be out playing shows within a couple of months. guess that means i'll have to put up a "tour" page.

happy christmas to those whom it applies. just sat down for a stomach and and half full of the usual. well wishes to everyone during these times. in band news, i jerked around the merch page... added the song list for the album. looking to have it out by the end of february. perhaps earlier. unfortunately, all the percussion will be courtesy of myself as mr.jeremy decided to devote his talents to the local outfit woke up falling. check em out if you can. still looking for a drummer to pull it all off live. added the new enigk/goldsmith/mendel (sdre) project site to the "others" page. they're calling themselves the fire theft. i also threw up a link to the shiner site. great band.

11.21.01

oh boy.... much has happened. got a drummer. wrote new stuff. became the victim of a random act of violence.... let us begin touching on the happier news. things are finally beginning to move with the addition of chicago transplant, jeremy judy on the pots and pans. this fine gentleman brings us his talent after spending a short time in sunny california. we actually wrote two new ditties the first time we ever played together, so i'm crossing my fingers on this all panning out. for the time being, my roommate, mr. gabe guynes, is aiding in the guitar department as we scour the depths of our wee city for a bass type player. any takers??

oh... and yeah, on halloween evening i was woefully drafted into milwaukie, oregon's redneck version of the "sleepy hallow" pumpkin throwing scene. starring a jeep wrangler as the horse, and two or three judgmentally challenged individuals as the horseman. anyway, after a couple of weeks full of watching the wonderful shades of blue change upon my torso.. and some uncomfortable, sleepless nights... i'm all better.

my forgiving soul's trying to chalk it all up to disaffected youth reacting to all the violence in our world with.... well... more violence.

or maybe it's just rednecks. i dunno.

just completely revamped the site. try out the ol' guest book and let me know what you think. trying to put a band of stalwarts together at the moment. hopefully before the album release. i'm also going to attempt using one of the online purchasing tools so as to sell stuff from here. just caught the burning airlines/rival schools show the other night. if you haven't heard either of them, you should. superchunk's showing upin our neck o' the woods @ b.complex on november 10.
