Here is the second Stingray project. I found this on Ebay. I couldn't resist the perfect seat! The photo to the right shows the bike as I recieved it from the seller, pretty rough shape. I tore the bike down completely, scrubbed everything. I use NAPA chrome polish, a dab of 3 in 1 oil, and fine brass wool to clean all the chrome pieces. Seems to work best of all the things I've tried.

A couple of months later...This bike was fairly rusty, but it cleaned up really well.

The only part changed was the "patent pending" sprocket. The back side of the original was rusted beyond cleaning. I did paint the rear fender support. I used Rustoleum gray primer and zink coat paint to finish....looks great and seems durable. The streamers, crossed flag caps, lever covers, and new repo tires were also added.
